Make no mistake, the days of Bournemouth being 'God's waiting room' are gone. Don't get me wrong, this is still a hugely popular town for the senior set but most have disposable incomes that stretch beyond a 99' and a Deck Chair and prefer to relax in one of the many up-market wine bars and hotels. And with this money breeds more people arriving with cash to burn thus perpetuating the circle of life in Bournemouth.

Okay yes it has million-pound properties, stunning 'Blue Flag' golden sands, clear ocean water, water sports, champagne by intravenous drip, and houses that most peoples imaginations couldn't afford but if you are coming here for a couple of days here is our rapid recommendation for what to do in a 'One day' shuttle stopin the great town.

Where to...

Stay

The Orchid Hotel

The Orchid Hotel

The Orchid Hotel may be small compared to many in Bournemouth but don't be fooled, this Boutique hotel packs a heavyweight yet hopelessly romantic punch. More akin to that of London than Bournemouth, this Gem of a hotel should be on anyone's list.

Contact: 34 Gervis Road, Bournemouth.

Tel: 01202 551600

Eat

Bournemouth The Print Room
Entering The Print Room is like being transported back to the 1920's. A mix of Brasserie, Cafe and Bar, The Print Room is Art Deco personified. Offering a wonderfully satisfying dining experience from breakfast at 8am through to dinner at midnight, everyone should at least say they've been.

Contact: Richmond Hill, Bournemouth.

Tel: 01202 789669

Drink

Breeze Bar and Restaurant Breeze

With it's 'I went mad in Bo Concept' deco, immaculately dressed staff, wide range of spirits, sheltered smoking area and fine dining area, Breeze is a contradiction in itself managing to marry it's unashamedly classy and sophisticated business model with an utterly un-stuffy and non-threatening environment.  Stay for a swift pint or settle in for the evening, it doesn't matter, you simply wont want to go anywhere else.

Contact: Breeze Bar & Restaurant, 1 Charminster Road, Bournemouth, BH8 8UE

Tel: 01202 555 145

Visit

Bournemouth Beach The Beaches
The one place that deserves all the hype it gets in Bournemouth is the beaches. Constantly rated some of the best in the UK, arguably the world, the beaches in Bournemouth - with their golden sand, clear blue waters and and average of 8-hours sunshine per day in the summer - have to be seen. We think that in the summer there is nothing better than the walk or ride from Bournemouth Pier to Sandbanks.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
